SixPenny Review
I could not be happier with how our couch fills our space!
When we found our new home and the move became real, the first thing I thought about was a big cozy couch to fill our family room. Our old couch was amazing, but it wasn’t an investment piece, and had been very loved and because of it and seen better days. We decided it would be the kids couch for upstairs, and the search for a new couch began. Our living room is right off our kitchen and I knew it would be the heart of our home, and therefore new this new couch needed to be comfy & cozy but also easy to clean and care for because.. well, kids. In addition to the functionality of it, I wanted it to be sophisticated and would complete our space well. I truthfully look everywhere and kept coming back to SixPenny.
There were a few things that really attracted me to SixPenny and ultimately sold me on their couch and chair for our living room. First, the look. It just looks comfortable, but also fills a space so beautifully. It doesn’t need lots of extra pillows and has such a homey yet elegant appearance. I knew we needed a big sectional for our space and I loved the Neva style. It has clean lines and the frame is simple and classic. I also loved the large pillow look of the cushions. Another thing I LOVED about the couch was that every piece was a slipcover. I knew it would never stay stain-free because our reality is sticky fingers and messy kids. The fact that I can take one slipcover off to clean a spot, or take them all off to get the whole couch dry-cleaned was a no-brainer-winner. And let me tell you, I’ve already had to clean stains off the ouch (thanks boys) and it is such a smooth process! When looking for a couch I wanted a lighter fabric for our space but was so nervous about it getting stained, but not anymore! And that’s something with two toddler boys!
The large armchair chair we got for our living room is also from SixPenny, and it’s in the same style as our couch, the Neva. I knew I wanted a leather chair for our main living area and could not be happier. The leather is buttery soft and the chair is so large it fits two adults! It is the perfect addition to our room and creates the coziest reading corner.
Overall, I am so happy with our new furniture. The couch and chair were even better than I expected and I had high expectations. If I had to give one downside, it’s that the furniture takes a long time to arrive, but that is only because it is made to order. But truthfully, it didn’t bother me knowing my furniture was being made specifically for us and we were the only ones to have our pieces as they came straight from production into our home. I’m so incredibly grateful for our home, and the memories that we are making and will make for years to come. I know the pieces will comfort many babies, hold lots of tickle fight laughs and movie nights, and will be so well loved.
